My kids crack me up. Last weekend we were in Hanover, MD at this enormous mall. We're walking around, mostly window shopping and we see this concessionaire up ahead.
On the female mannequins we see jeweled bras like this
all over the place. As we veer around the side of the cart there is a woman, presumably the vendor who sells these, slowly gyrating to the video she has playing that demonstrated "how to belly dance". My kids, oh my kids... They glance at the video, quickly look away and start to chant (as a group) "Not modest! NOT! MODEST!" Heh, yeah, I think we've drilled the modesty thing in a bit.
On Sunday we're in The Great Indoors up in Gaithersburg, MD. (Great store by the way!) We're walking past the tv/entertainment center section trying to find the ever elusive corner stand for the tv et al. All the televisions in the front of the display area were showing a workout video. You know the kind, women wearing sports bras and workout pants aerobically bouncing around and sweating. The kids started again with "Not modest! NOT! MODEST!" I literally laughed out loud this time.
So, what else is new....
Went for a walk this morning. Felt great to get back to the type of exercise I truly enjoy. And the weather, oh my stars the weather! It was a gorgeous morning! 66 degrees, felt like low humidity though the weatherman was complaining it was muggy out (FREAK). Slight breeze, NO RAIN, gorgeous.
Supposed to get a tad more rain today and then for the next little while it's supposed to be sunny! Great for our trip to Six Flags tomorrow with Steven's organization. Great for the July 4th event on base. Just great all together!
Did I mention that there has been over 13 inches of rain since June 1st? That's an all time record high for the area. Yeah, we know, Steven and I brought the weather apocolypse to the District. Oy.
