As Heard At Home

I must've forgotten how large a vocabulary three year olds are capable of maintaining CLEARLY. I must've also forgotten how loudly your kids can make you laugh.

To wit:

-Scene: Park Day, last Thursday 3:30pm
-Lead Actress: Lizzy

Mama: Lizzy, it's time to go, let's go tell sisters we're leaving.
(Lizzy doesn't move a step, she merely begins to inhale deeply as though she was going deep sea diving without scuba equipment)
Lizzy: KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (small pause) TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
(She then takes off hollering for them when they dont' instantly answer her cries)

-Scene: Hallway at home, Sunday AM
-Lead Actress: Lizzy

(steps are heard down the hallway as Lizzy heads into the bathroom)
Lizzy: (very stern and concerned voice) EMILY! Did you didn't flush the toilet??!!

They crack me up.

Fun was had by all...

After church yesterday, Ben, Michelle and Mara came over. We ate some lunch, the kids played, then Michelle and I ran to the craft store for a bit. Ended up convincing them to stay for dinner and games. I had so much fun! We're going to have to make that a regular occurence.

Just managed to lose an entire entry. OY!

Coffee is good!

Sitting here, noone else is awake, enjoying my first cup of coffee back home. Man that's nice. I've missed my coffee maker and the delcious hazelnut goodness it warms me with. My auto-on buttons don't work now for some reason, but that's ok. Steven switches it on for me as he leaves for work.

Have we made any progress since we got here? Sure. The office/storage room is looking great! I can use my dining room table. My kitchen is mostly emptied of boxes and I can cook in there, assuming I can find all the utensils and cookware.

***Pause for your regularly scheduled Emily "The Early Bird" wake up hugs***

We're going to park day this afternoon for the first time since the hurricane. Then tonight is a Ladies Night In Function at my church.

I'm off to surf the net for a minute while I enjoy the coffee and get ready to face my day! I hope you have a blessed day yourselves!
