Long time since I blogged, I know. Enjoy the pretty spring goodness via some photos in lieu of an actual entry.

Ok, so we saw the good doctor today. Our appointment was for 7am and we had to be there at 6:45. My kids, who almost always get up early but have never been outside at that time of day, were fascinated by the sight of the sunrise.
Ok, so we see the good doctor who is very thorough and I just love her. She has Em's ear irrigated so she can see inside. Poor thing was blessed with Mama's non-draining ears like her sisters were. Her ear canal was red and irritated but the ear drum was ok. She gave her some drops for helping the ear canal. She listened to her lungs and then decided to give her some Albuterol for a few days. They took a sample for the lab to check her for RSV, adenovirus and some other thing. Dr. Wonderful went ahead and made another appointment for two days from now to recheck her. Since that's when Lizzy got worse, the two day mark was when we were in the ER at Jackson Hospital at 4:45 in the morning, she decided to bring her back to check on her.
Apparently, down here in the Katrina ravaged coast, a lot of strange viruses, bacteria, and some NASTY bugs are going around. I'm sure living in a base house filled with mold BEFORE the storm didn't help. Since the storm I'm sure our mold issue has only worsened.
What else, what else??
Working on what to do for next school year. I'm thinking of trying Weaver. Sounds like something we'd enjoy. I know people who didn't care for it but I think I can get a sample to try first.
Paces have been a nice start for us but Katy isn't challenged by it at all. She isn't retaining things with this. She needs to get her hands into things more. I want to incorporate all the senses in their learning. I think it would help them quite a bit. I know we'll stick with Abeka for Math for Katy and I'm not sure what we'll use for Emily but we've got time to decide.
We thought we were going to take a short break and then school through the summer but we decided to take a summer break this year. We'll go to the pool, get our house in order after the move, go on nature walks, do art and experiments, and relax.
Ok, my computer time is up. I need to get some things done around the house.
Bronchitis.
Double ear infections.
That's only one child.
Another who is going to the doctor tomorrow for what's starting to sound like the bronchitis cough.
I'm tired.

Pretty flowers I got as a door prize at the last Ladies Night In at church. So pretty.
